Love has a Name has been a transformational song in my life!
What a testimony to Kim Walker Smith’s genius for writing God-honoring music. In addition to a captivating melody, this song includes a number of vivid phrases about the supremacy of Jesus including:
Love has a Name
Joy has a Name
Victory has a Name
Hope has a Name
The core message of Kim’s song is so clear: Jesus is truly the One and Only. He is the very definition of love. He exemplifies love in everything He does. He has always loved us unconditionally. And Jesus’ transformational love paves the way for His followers to experience supernatural joy, victory, hope and so much more. Jesus is worthy of our worship!
Given all I have been doing and writing about the last twenty-plus years, I’m tempted to add a verse or two with phrases such as:
Kingdom culture has a Name
Equipping leadership has a Name
Heart discipleship has a Name
Ministry discipleship has a Name
From my vantage point, if Jesus is the cornerstone of the Church (Eph 2:20ff), then He is the archetype for everything we should be doing in our communities.
Want to know what Kingdom culture tastes like? Look at Jesus.
Want to equip people to walk out their destiny? Look at Jesus.
Want to catalyze disciples to be carriers of godly love? Look at Jesus.
Want to catalyze disciples to be carriers of godly ministry? Look at Jesus!
Where is Jesus inviting you and your community to emulate Him today?
I’m still working on patience!
Only through Grace,
